The Positions and Commitment

Directors of the Mount Pleasant Village Board must willingly donate time and energy to the following:

• Serving a two-year term, with potential re-election
• Reading the Board manual and remaining abreast of MtP Village policies, procedures, activities, and programs
• Meeting the responsibilities of the yearly schedule as they apply to the Board (annual meeting, start-of-year approvals, party, picnic, etc.)
• Preparing to discuss agenda items and attend five Board meetings a year
• Serving on an operating or ad hoc committee or otherwise accepting responsibility for Board activities
• Attending the programs of the MtP Village
• Advocating for and promoting the vision of MtP Village
• Donating to MtP Village each year, according to means
• Exercising discretion and honoring confidentiality

Board meetings are where the priorities of the Village are set and working decisions are made. Directors are expected to attend five board meetings each year. Meeting dates are in January, April, June, September, and December.

Please submit nominations no later than October 2, 2023.
